Board Members 

Amanda Mize

President 

Executive Leadership & Vision

 

Summary: The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the association. Guided by the ToMC bylaws, the President facilitates all Board and community meetings, ensuring that every session is productive and transparent. Beyond presiding over meetings, the President is responsible for executing the Board’s decisions, signing legal documents, and providing the strategic leadership necessary to maintain our neighborhood's "gold standard" status in Fort Worth.

 

Primary Duty: Chief Executive and spokesperson for the Board.

 

Governance Focus: Meeting facilitation, contract execution, and community vision.

 

Authority: Authorized to appoint committees to address specific neighborhood needs.

Hi neighbors, I’m Amanda Mize,

I have lived in the community since 2016 with my husband, a Navy veteran & our three kids. As a local business owner, I understands the importance of balance, organization, and staying connected with others.

I am committed to improving communication, keeping things transparent, and helping the community move forward in a way that feels fair and thoughtful for everyone.

Fun facts: loves iced coffee, being adventurous with family. Fitness for fun . Has 3 pets -mocha Pomeranian , macchiato our cat (macchi for short) & matcha, the chameleon.

John Whitfield

Vice President 

Ensuring Leadership Continuity

 

Summary: In accordance with the Trails of Marine Creek bylaws, the Vice President serves as the primary successor to the President, providing essential administrative redundancy and leadership stability. In the event of the President’s absence or inability to perform their duties, the Vice President legally assumes all executive powers and responsibilities. This structure ensures that ToMC governance remains seamless, protecting the community’s interests and maintaining operational momentum at all times.

 

Primary Duty: Standing successor to the President and administrative coordinator.

 

Governance Focus: Leadership continuity, operational stability, and policy implementation.

 

Authority: Legally assumes all Presidential powers and duties in the event of the President's absence or inability to act.

Hello neighbors! I’m John, your Vice President. Having lived in Trails of Marine Creek since May 2008, I’ve seen our neighborhood grow and flourish over the years.

 

As a retired Army First Sergeant/ Veteran and currently a middle school teacher, I understand that a thriving community is built on a foundation of sound governance and accountable leadership. Over the past 18 months on the Board, my focus has been on ensuring our policies/compliance are clear, fair, and designed to protect the long-term interests of every homeowner.

 

I am dedicated to upholding the standards that make us the premier neighborhood in Fort Worth, while remaining transparent and responsive to your needs. Let’s continue building a better community together!"

Patrick Fleming

Treasurer |

Fiscal Stewardship & Oversight

 

Summary: The Treasurer is the primary overseer of the community’s financial health. Working closely with our management team, the Treasurer monitors the budget, reviews financial statements, and ensures that assessments are collected and utilized effectively. By providing regular financial reports to the Board and the community, the Treasurer ensures that ToMC remains fiscally sound and that our reserve funds are protected for future neighborhood improvements.

 

Primary Duty: Financial oversight and budget management.

 

Governance Focus: Fiscal transparency, audit readiness, and long-term financial planning.

 

Authority: Reviews all expenditures and assists in the annual budget preparation.

Born and raised in Fort Worth and a Marine Corp veteran, I have lived in TOMC since 2016.  I have worked as a bookkeeper for a small business for over 20 years and have also served as Treasurer for a Scout troop and my church parish.

Janna Singleton

 Administrative

Support & Operations

 

Summary: The Trails of Marine Creek HOA employs a professional management company to handle daily operations and administrative tasks. To ensure clear governance, please keep the following distinctions in mind:

 

Role: They serve in an advisory and administrative capacity only.

 

Authority: As a contracted provider, they execute Board directives but have no power to or can be delagated to approve official documentation,  override or influence Board decisions. They are not a decision making body.

 

Governance: The management company is an agent of the HOA, not a governing body. Ultimate control remains with your elected Board of Directors.

 

Focus: Maintenance coordination, assessment billing, and vendor management.

Brian Frasher

Director-at-Large

 

Resident Advocacy

& Special Projects

 

 Summary: The Director-at-Large serves as a versatile representative of the community. Unlike roles with specific administrative mandates, this position focuses on the "big picture"—serving as a bridge between the residents and the executive officers.

 

The Member-at-Large often spearheads special projects, chairs committees, and ensures that the diverse voices of our neighbors are represented in every Board discussion.

 

Primary Duty: Representative-at-large for all ToMC homeowners.

 

Governance Focus: Strategic

projects, community outreach, and policy review.

 

Authority: Full voting rights on all Board matters with the flexibility to lead varying initiatives.

Hello neighbors! I’m Brian, your Director-At-Large. I have been a part of the Trails of Marine Creek community since April of 2020, along with my wife and our two sons.
 

I am a retired Army Sergeant/Veteran. I am an avid birder, and a very novice bird photographer. I am a member of, volunteer for, and a current Director-At-Large candidate for the Fort Worth Audubon Society. I also enjoy disc golf, as well as riding skateboards.  
 

My focus is on maintaining the values that set our neighborhood apart, while ensuring every voice is heard and every concern is addressed with honesty. Together, we can strengthen the lines of communication, make decisions that are just and considerate, and keep moving our community forward in a way we can all be proud of. 

 

Dakota Alvarez

Secretary

Records & Transparency

 

Summary: The Secretary is the "custodian of records" for the Trails of Marine Creek. This role is vital for legal transparency and historical continuity.

 

The Secretary is responsible for recording accurate minutes of all meetings, maintaining the official membership list, and ensuring that all community records are organized and accessible.

 

By documenting every Board action, the Secretary ensures that our governance remains accountable to every homeowner.

 

Primary Duty: Recording and maintaining all official Board and community records.

 

Governance Focus: Accuracy in documentation, meeting minutes, and corporate compliance.

 

Authority: Certifies all Board actions of the association. Certification can only be delgated to other Board Members.
